Relaxation:

relaxationSitting or lying down anywhere, resting, sunbathing, dozing, daydreaming, listening to mellow music – these are all relaxation techniques and most of us do some of them regularly. Focused relaxation techniques are those which talk you into a completely relaxed and comfortable state.

Some of the best relaxation techniques are deep breathing, meditating, hypnosis and self-hypnosis. Our MP3 recordings cover all these areas.

What is the difference between relaxation and meditation?

It’s fair to say that relaxation is usually the precursor to meditation. In order to relax, you simply settle yourself down in a comfy chair, couch or bed, take a few deep breaths and progressively tense and relax your muscles from your toes right up through your body, breathing out as you let go of the stress.  This will automatically start to send you into a state of relaxation. We use this technique in many of our Cogni-Fusion recordings.

Advantages & Benefits – The benefits of relaxation are similar to those of meditation. If you think about how you feel when relaxed, you know the difference to when you feel stressed and it’s easy to identify which is the better state to be in. Regular practice will make relaxation easier but using our recordings will greatly accelerate your ability to relax, and get you into a much deeper state.

So, by just relaxing (as a form of meditation) regularly, all of the benefits below can be experienced:

  • reduced stress
  • lower blood pressure
  • reduced anxiety
  • improved focus and concentration
  • disease prevention
  • aided healing
  • anti-ageing
  • increased sense of well being
  • increased compassion
  • improved mental clarity
